Administrative opening Vie

With the placement of a plaque in Vie, the Province of Limburg, City Region Parkstad Limburg, IBA Parkstad and the Municipality of Kerkrade ratified their administrative cooperation Friday. The plaque is a design by architect Erik Moederscheim of MoederscheimMoonen Architects and conceived from the idea of cooperation. It depicts a figure that symbolizes the citizens of Parkstad for whom Vie - Living on the Move was developed. On the move and healthy.

To represent the collaboration and symbolize the physical creation of the Vie building, a plaque composed of four (puzzle) pieces was chosen. Only when placed together is it a whole plaque and symbolizes the sealing of the building. Each partner placed their own piece in the niche after which the whole became visible.

Vie consists of a physical part, the new building in Kerkrade with swimming pools, sports hall and the Vie Innovation Hub Parkstad, and a non-physical development. This now involves over forty programs in the area of health and vitality and aims to reduce health inequalities in Kerkrade and the region.
