Breast cancer screening in Eygelshoven
From the end of May until mid-June 2021, the mobile screening center for the population screening for breast cancer will be located in the parking lot of the scouts at Anselderlaan 65 in Eygelshoven. Because of the coronavirus, several measures have been taken to ensure safe screening within the COVID guidelines.
About one in seven women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Most are over the age of 50. That's why all women ages 50 through 75 receive an invitation to the breast cancer screening program. Thanks to this free population screening, between 850 and 1075 fewer women die of breast cancer each year.
If you receive an invitation, be sure to make an appointment. Breast cancer screening increases the chance that any cancer present will be detected at an early stage. Early detection increases the chance of cure.
