Residents 24 homes In Park West get key
On Wednesday, April 20, the future residents of the 24 homes in Park West received their keys. The completion of the park homes, which are divided into two squares of 12 homes each, is the final component of the West Wins Space project.
Alderman Tim Weijers (Housing/Residential Planning): "The future tenants of HEEMwonen will live in a unique location in a green environment. Later this year we will celebrate the official completion of West wins space in a festive way."
The homes are built in a green and park-like setting and are completely life-proof. The homes have been built sustainably. For example, the homes are equipped with a heat pump and generate their own electricity by using solar panels.
A neighborhood in bloom
HEEMwonen, the Municipality of Kerkrade, the City Region of Parkstad Limburg and the Province of Limburg have been working together on the growth of Kerkrade-West (West is gaining space) since 2011. A lot has changed in West in recent years. The sustainable neighborhood "The existing district of Tomorrow in Kaalheide, Park West with playground and 't Westhoes are examples of this.
