What do you do when the power goes out for days? If there is temporarily no drinking water and stores remain closed? Today, the sixteen South Limburg municipalities and the South Limburg Safety Region are launching the "Together prepared for 72 hours of self-reliance" campaign. With this campaign we help residents to be better prepared for emergency situations.
Prepared in three steps
Being prepared doesn't have to be complicated. Three simple steps will get you a long way:
- Put together an emergency kit for 72 hours that includes water, storable food, lights, a charged power bank, first aid kit and warm blankets.
- Make an emergency plan and agree at home what you will do in the event of an emergency.
- Talk about it with neighbors, friends or family. Together you are stronger.
