Fire in apartment complex Square
A fire raged in the storage room of a parking garage under an apartment complex on Plein this morning. In the process, all residents of the apartment complex were removed from their homes as a precaution. All residents are doing well and have been sheltered in a room of a shooting range on Industriestraat. The residents will not be able to return to their homes until late afternoon at the earliest.
The fire in the apartment complex broke out around 4:45 in the morning and was extinguished more than an hour later. There were no casualties or injuries. There was also no danger to public health.
However, the fire did cause some smoke inside the apartments in the complex.
At this time, necessary repairs are being made to the electricity and sewage system and the apartments are being cleaned. After that, residents can return to their apartments.
