Stichting Kinderopvang Parkstad has as many as six preschool locations in Kerkrade that offer what is known as early childhood education (VVE).
This involves the children participating in the educational program "Play Fun," aimed at speech and language development. Any language and developmental delays are quickly detected and addressed in this way.
Alderman Schlangen: "As a municipality, we think it is important that children are stimulated from an early age to develop through play. This is also to prevent a possible delay in language and speech development prior to kindergarten. I therefore hope, that also this corona time parents will not let this deter them from registering their toddler at one of the 6 toddler care locations in our municipality."
