Client representation social domain in a new look!

On April 1, the Municipality of Kerkrade and the Advisory Council for Social Support (AMO) Kerkrade Foundation signed a new covenant in which mutual cooperation agreements have been "refreshed" and adapted to new local social challenges.

The municipality of Kerkrade, which is legally responsible for Health to its (vulnerable) residents, together with AMO Kerkrade is giving substance and form to jointly set objectives. Alderman Leo Jongen (Wmo): "The advisory council has been sitting around the table with the municipality and other social partners since the policy preparation phase. They advise us, think along and together we work on the best solutions for municipal issues within the social domain. The input of AMO Kerkrade is very important in this."

In addition to the new cooperation agreements with the municipality, formally enshrined in the covenant, the AMO Kerkrade is moving with the times. They have a new logo. In addition, they have given their website a modern new look. The website www.amokerkrade.nl can be visited since March 24. On this website you will find all the important information about AMO Kerkrade and what they can do for you as a citizen. "We always think and act from the perspective of the citizen and encourage the municipality to communicate in a timely and clear manner with both its target groups and all Kerkrade residents. Together with the municipality, we are working towards an even more social Kerkrade," said Martin Simons (Chairman AMO Kerkrade Foundation).

The Advisory Council for Social Support Kerkrade Foundation originated from the former Platform for Social Support Kerkrade. The AMO Kerkrade is a foundation and therefore an independent and autonomous legal entity. Its task is to advise the municipality of Kerkrade, both solicited and unsolicited, on the policy and implementation of the Social Support Act, the Youth Act and the Participation Act from the citizen's perspective. The Advisory Council also sees it as its task to strengthen the role of citizens within the municipal social domain.
