Coronavirus: Local and national initiatives to help in corona time

Local initiatives

Kirchroa against corona / Four zunt kirchroa is a platform where help demand and help supply come together. This civic initiative can be found on Facebook.

Think about running errands for someone else, cooking an extra portion or just offering a listening ear. That's what Kirchroa Tegen Corona volunteers do, among other things.

The Facebook group Kerkrade, Stronger Together also collects initiatives.

Kiek Limburg is also an online environment to make all initiatives of (Lim) citizens visible and findable in one place. Would you like to contribute as a citizen during this Corona crisis? Then place your initiative on www.kieklimburg.nl.

Welfare organization Impuls offers a variety of offerings for you within current opportunities, such as coffee and walking hour. Read more information about this offer on the Impuls Kerkrade website.

National initiatives

Please check out the national website One Against Loneliness. Here you will find information about both national and local initiatives of member municipalities. The municipality of Kerkrade is also actively participating in this national initiative. You can read more on the website One against Loneliness.

Throughout the country, many activities are already being organized around the theme of Attention to One Another. The municipality of Kerkrade supports this initiative.

C-support works on behalf of VWS for Covid-19 patients experiencing long-term symptoms of corona infection. C-support informs, advises and supports you in all areas of life affected by this complex and still unknown disease: health, (psycho)social and work & income. This can be short-term or, if necessary, long-term.

The OOPOEH Foundation helps seniors get more exercise and companionship by pairing them with a sweet babysitting dog in the neighborhood.

For such things as shopping help, companionship, a listening ear or a babysitter, check out the NL for each other website .

Caretakers

Family caregivers can contact the services of the Support Center for Family Caregivers for more information as well as the national family care line.

A listening ear

People can call in, ask questions, offer tips and just listen.

The Red Cross has opened a helpline for vulnerable people in time of corona. Do you need a listening ear, advice or extra help because you are in quarantine or home isolation? Through the Red Cross Helpline, people can talk about concerns, get advice about their specific situation and, where necessary, be referred to the right help.
