Plans for The Martin Buber officially submitted

With the push of a button, Alderman Jo Schlangen (education) sends the quality documents for The Martin Buber to The Hague in the presence of Frank Ramakers (project leader) and Bert Schroën (quartermaster). Together with the many registrations of interest from parents from Kerkrade and surroundings. With this the formal application for full public secondary education in Kerkrade was submitted to the Ministry of Education.

Alderman Schlangen: "Since July 1, we have been working non-stop in Kerkrade on The Martin Buber. This is the moment we have been living towards. 730 parents have submitted an interest registration and our Martin Buber team has been working incredibly hard on the quality documents describing the vision of education at Het Martin Buber. We have thought of everything and done everything possible...If it is up to us, Het Martin Buber will be here, and from August 2023 there will again be full public secondary education in Kerkrade!"

How does it go from here?

It is now waiting for the redeeming word from The Hague. The ministry will let us know before June 1, 2022. If Kerkrade receives a positive decision, The Martin Buber can open its doors in August 2023.

What do we hear from The Martin Buber now?

We will continue to update you, we will do so a little less often from now on than you are used to from us. But there will be enough fun and interesting things to keep following us. For example, the ? raving reporter will still be around and the Buberwagen will be on the road.

? The Buberwagen's first stop will be Saturday, 30-10-'21 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the kickoff of the plaza app at sports park Kaalheide.
