The 'Star Teams' of the Gracht Neighborhood Room and Westhoes/Heilust Neighborhood Room

December 7 marked the national "Volunteer Day. An annual moment to reflect on how important volunteers are in our society.

In our municipality, too, many people dedicate themselves selflessly to the Kerkrade community every day. Every year the municipality of Kerkrade, in cooperation with Impuls, singles out a specific group and puts them in the spotlight. This year there are two groups: the volunteers of Buurtkamer Gracht and Buurtkamer Westhoes/Heilust. Alderman Leo Jongen (volunteer policy) surprised both groups of volunteers with a statuette and a bouquet of flowers. The statuettes "Thanks to our Star Team" were presented by the Alderman to Bettina Hummel of the Buurtkamer Westhoes/Heilust and to Kitty Crombach of the Buurtkamer Gracht.
