Healing

The impact of a robbery or burglary is great. Many municipalities are doing a good job of addressing burglars, robbers and street robbers. This approach is not complete without attention to fencing. High impact crimes can be prevented by having an understanding of dealers within the municipality. After all, a thief wants to make money by selling the stolen item to a fence. Without a fence no stealer.

DOR

As a buyer, you are required to enter your used goods in a certified register. You can do this easily and free of charge in the Digital Collectors' Register (DOR). With the DOR you record information about the product, the seller and the price, among other things. In the sales section you record information about which products have been sold to whom. This helps the police, prosecutor and municipality in dealing with handling stolen goods. Reports of stolen goods are immediately forwarded to the police. That way you won't have stolen goods in your inventory.

The DOR reduces paperwork. Inventory management and warehouse controls are also much easier because of the registry. In addition, the register makes it easy to search and sort by species, brand, type or serial number.

More information can be found on the Rijksoverheid website

Supervision and enforcement

The municipality and police check that you are using the DOR and that you are entering the correct data. They may also compare your register with the warehouse. Do you not have your affairs in order during the inspection? Then you will be checked more often and risk a fine.
