First residents of Voorterstraat SUPERLOCAL sign reservation agreement

On Monday, April 19, the first 50 future residents of the new apartment on Voorterstraat signed the reservation agreement of their new home. The signing was done in a playful way, entirely coronaproof, with a"drive-thru

In order to qualify for a home in the SUPERLOCAL neighborhood, interested parties expressed their motivation. After several discussions with HEEMwonen, a home was reserved for the first 50 residents on Voorterstraat.

Drive-thru

Every 10 minutes a new resident drove by to sign the reservation agreement. Many of them came on foot or by bicycle, so nice and sustainable! The residents already knew which floor their apartment was on. Now they also got to see exactly which apartment was reserved for them.

New home

It is expected that the new residents will be able to move into their new home on Voorter Street in the spring of 2022. Viewing days will be held later this year so that the new residents can get an even better idea of their new home.

15 ground-level homes

The very first residents of the new SUPERLOCAL neighborhood already moved into one of the 15 lifetime homes in the area earlier this year. They will soon welcome a lot of new neighbors, as the flat will have a total of 114 homes. Over the next few weeks, over 50 more interviews are scheduled with interested parties for the remaining homes in the flat. You can still send in your motivation to get a home in the new neighborhood at www.woneninsuperlocal.nl.

In the SUPERLOCAL project, as many materials as possible from former high-rise apartment buildings will be used to build new housing and construct public space. There will be 129 new affordable rental homes, a common space for residents and neighbors, and a water cycle that collects and purifies rainwater. SUPERLOCAL is a circular building project centered on sustainability and resident participation. Project partners are: HEEMwonen, Municipality of Kerkrade, IBA Parkstad, Dusseldorp Sloop Infra en Milieutechniek, Jongen Bouwpartners, Stadsregio Parkstad Limburg, WML, WBL, Zuyd Hogeschool, Veras, Municipality of Landgraaf and Municipality of Brunssum.
