Together we are creating cross-border senior-friendly municipalities so that all seniors in the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion can continue to enjoy participating in everyday life!
This is the core message of the project"Senior Friendly Communities' in which the municipality of Kerkrade participates. In this project, 9 Euroregional partners work together with 31 participating municipalities from the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion.

The goal of this project is to establish senior-friendly municipalities. The emphasis of the project is on the mental health of seniors with a special focus on dementia and depression of old age.
Foundation euPrevent-EMR
The 'Senior Friendly Communities' project falls under the 'Mental Health' program line of the euPrevent-EMR Foundation. The euPrevent-EMR Foundation supports cross-border cooperation between professionals and organizations working to preserve, promote and restore public health in the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion.

This project is supported by the Interreg V-A program Meuse-Rhine Euregion.

The project started in September 2016 and will run for 3 years.
