Festival 't Kirchroa va Mörje returns

From October 3 to 11, 2025, Kerkrade will once again be home to Festival 't Kirchroa va Mörje. For nine days there will be all sorts of sustainable activities in Kerkrade for young and old. from bike rides and walks to creative workshops, symposia and a festive closing.

Throughout the year, the municipality works to make Kerkrade more sustainable, with the festival as the highlight. Alderman René van Drunen (Sustainability): "Together with residents, we are continuously working on a future-proof municipality. The festival shows how all these efforts come together and thus forms the culmination of a year full of effort."

Varied program for young and old

Every day there are activities around themes such as climate, energy, nature, food, water, waste, recycling, clothing, housing, transportation and education. The festival kicks off at Rolduc Brewery. Alderman van Drunen will open the festival here festively with a toast with the one and only festival beer 'Knietewies'.

The popular bike ride "Va jister noa Mörje" is also back on the program. In addition, there are creative workshops, such as making birdhouses from old materials. Furthermore, residents can participate in a culinary walk, various gatherings and much more. The festival will conclude with an enjoyable final party.
