Shared heat is double heat

Friday, February 10, is Warm Sweater Day: the heating low, thick sweater on, hurray for the climate! But not everyone has a warm sweater. Therefore, from the Coalition Kerkrade-West we are starting a collection and distribution of warm sweaters.

The idea behind Warm Sweater Day is simple: just put on a warm sweater and turn your heating down a notch. This way we do our bit for the climate, or else for our own wallets. But it is not so simple for everyone. After all, turning up the heat has not been so common since the energy crisis. And with rising prices, not everyone has money for a nice warm sweater. That is why we from the Coalition Kerkrade-West are starting a collection and distribution of warm sweaters. You are not only giving a sweater, but also a warm feeling to someone else.

You can turn in sweaters through Feb. 9 at:

  • HAVEN, 69 Camp Street.
  • Concept store, Akerstraat 64.

Would you like to come pick up a sweater? You can do so from Feb. 10 through Feb. 17 at the same locations.

Drop-off and pick-up will take place during opening hours, which can be found at HAVEN and at Concept Store. Be quick though, because gone = gone!

The Coalition Kerkrade-West is a collaboration between all professionals, residents' platform, municipality of Kerkrade, HEEMwonen and healthcare institutions in the neighborhood.
