Give a coat, warm a child's heart!
Last year we participated with our city in the action "give a coat, warm a heart," which was rolled out throughout Limburg. For this action, we collected many coats for our residents who are struggling financially. As a result, we were able to make many people happy with a nice coat, which they could pick out in a temporary pop-up store in Flexiforum.
This year the action will take place again and coats will be collected, especially children's coats, for a warm winter! Unfortunately, the number of children living in poverty is not small. It is not natural for everyone to purchase a winter coat, sometimes the means for this are lacking. Therefore, we want to work with you to provide warm protection for our youngest residents.
Of course, the coats should still be good and clean. The coats will then be redistributed in a temporary pop-up store. .
Alderman Wiermans underlines the importance of this action and calls on residents, business owners and associations to join in again and make the action in our city another success. Every child and resident without a warm coat is one too many!
When is the action?
The action will take place from Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021 through Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021.
After Dec. 22, you can still drop off coats in Flexiforum at the Ruilwinkel Kerkrade
Where is the collection point?
You can hand in the coats in the designated clothing container, next to Santa's House, in the Markt in Kerkrade.
