No away crowd at Roda JC - VVV-Venlo match
In consultation with the police and public prosecutor, the mayor of Kerkrade has taken the decision not to allow away spectators at the match between Roda JC and VVV on Sunday, April 7, '24. The municipality of Venlo, VVV-Venlo and Roda JC have been informed about the necessity of this measure.
Based on information, public order disturbances are to be expected. To prevent these and guarantee the safety of all supporters, staff and visitors to the Roda JC Ring would require a disproportionate deployment of police. This cannot be justified.
Mayor Petra Dassen-Housen: "It is unfortunate that such a decision must fall, in this exciting phase of the competition. All partners continue to believe that soccer should be a celebration for everyone and will continue to work on that mission with commitment and passion."
