Municipality of Kerkrade helps you with the Omgevingswet
You will have to deal with the Omgevingswet Act if you want to change something in your living environment from January 1, 2024. For example, if you have plans to remodel your house, cut down a tree, organize an event, or if you are a business owner who wants to have a shed placed next to your business premises.
The Omgevingswet is new to everyone and we can well imagine that there are many questions. That is why the Municipality of Kerkrade is happy to help you. Below you can read about what we can offer you.
The environment desk
On our website kerkrade.omgevingswet you will find all the general information. You will also find frequently asked questions here. After reading this information, would you like someone to take a look with you? Then you can schedule an appointment with our physical environment desk. You can do this by calling 14 045.
Starting in January, the Environment Desk will be open every Thursday from 09:00-12:00 and 16:00-18:00. You can come here with all your questions about the Omgevingswet. Think of help with completing the Environment Desk or questions about Omgevingsvergunningsvrij bouwen. You can also ask questions about submitting a request in principle as part of the preliminary consultation.
The preliminary consultation
Are you sure you want to submit a permit application? If so, we recommend that you first schedule a preliminary consultation, or request in principle. Scheduling a preliminary consultation can speed up the processing of your application. During the preliminary consultation, we will check with you whether we have all the information we need to find out whether a proposed initiative is feasible. Perhaps you need to describe the activity more clearly or information needs to be supplemented. After the preliminary consultation, you can submit your application in the online Omgevingsloket.
