Municipality of Kerkrade lowers rates due to high WOZ value

Last week everyone received the annual BsGW assessment. For many homeowners it is a bit of a shock because in many cases the value of the home has increased significantly.

To accommodate you, the municipality of Kerkrade has reduced the rates. As a result, this year you will pay approximately the same amount as last year, despite the increased WOZ value.

How exactly is this ?
If the municipality had not lowered the rates, every homeowner would have to pay much more when the WOZ value increased. That is why the city council reduced the rates so that on average the charges do not increase in principle.
