A healthy weight, a healthy lifestyle and mental well-being are very important in growing up to adulthood. If enough attention is paid to these themes while growing up, a child can benefit greatly in his or her later life. Within each theme we offer different tools and pathways.

      Keigezond is a (family) program for overweight & obese children and adolescents who want to feel good about themselves and work on a healthier lifestyle for the future. Children/young people and their families decide which goals they consider important and what they want to work on with support from one central care provider. Becoming healthy is something you do together!

    • Healthy Elementary School of the Future
      The Healthy Elementary School of the Future promotes children's development and health and eliminates health disadvantages. This is done by offering a healthy lunch at school and through a comprehensive range of exercise activities.

      A healthy future starts with healthy youth. With children and youth growing up in a healthy environment. With everyone who wants to make a difference, JOGG works to create a healthy environment.

      Together we are getting more young people moving! By mixing existing sports, without matching them, we create a new sport that no one has ever done before. It's not about whether you can do the sport, but about having fun together. This way we get more young people from the vmbo in motion.

Mental well-being

    • SuperWoman
      SuperWoman is a methodology for girls' work. In a series of lessons, the goal is for girls to grow and respect themselves and their environment. They are involved and responsible in society and are meaningful to others.
    • Youth work
      Youth workers offer low-threshold support to young people in their development towards adulthood. They do this by making contact, signaling, motivating, educating and activating. In doing so, youth workers work with various partners, such as parents, schools, youth aid, neighborhood teams and police.
    • Summer School
      Children between 6 and 12 years old can participate in the Kerkrade Summer School during the vacations. Led by Jean-Philippe Rieu, teachers, guest teachers and students from Zuyd, children can sing, cook, play sports, dance, photograph, meditate, read and much more.
    • Starting the New School Year
      How to start the new school year off right? Tips on how your child can learn to cope with changes, how to get your child back into the rhythm and other issues.

    • KOPP/KOV: for Children of Parents with Psychological Problems (KOPP) and Children of Parents with Addiction Problems (KOV)
    • MOTI4: for young people between 14 and 26 who want to change their gaming behavior

      Super class makes young people aware of their responsibility to treat themselves and each other respectfully. Both at school and in society.
  • In case of problems:
    • Fun at School
      A two-day summer course for prospective freshmen who were bullied in elementary school or had other problems interacting with peers. The course helps increase these children's self-confidence and social skills so that they can make a good start at secondary school and reduce the risk of repeating these problems.

      A support parent is a volunteer who cares for a child one or two half-days a week. This gives parents some time for themselves. Parents who need support cannot always fall back on their own network. This can lead to stressful situations.
