Gold Medal of Honor for 'sjpassminister' Fer Kousen 

Fer Kousen, born in Kerkrade in 1958, has been connecting people with his words in his native language for over 40 years. He is inseparable from carnival. His humorous and at the same time shrewd use of language has brought pleasure to people for many decades and still enriches our dialect in an inimitable way. With his performances he gives many inhabitants unforgettable moments. His humorous title "Sjpassminister" he rightly wears: his words radiate cheerfulness and authority. In November last year, he won the Limburg Buuttecup 2022. Since last year, he has also been the regular host of Beleef Kerkrade TV.
