Gold Medal of Honor for Peter Trompetter

This award is special because the Golden Honor Pin contains the new logo of the Municipality of Kerkrade.

Peter Trompetter, born December 11, 1956 in Bleijerheide, looks back on an impressive career as a photographer. His passion for photography began at the age of 17.

Since then, he has produced numerous books and publications on the topics of local history and culture, including "A Hospital for Kerkrade," "Watershed in Limburg" and "Ós Kirchroa."

In all, Peter has published 16 books and 1 journal, most of which are devoted to the history of Kerkrade and the surrounding area. His work is a valuable resource for the region. He is often praised for the way he captures and preserves the past. In addition to his books, Peter has taken photographs for various events, such as the WMC, Roda JC, the King's Shoot, Carnival, amateur soccer and cycling.
