Dog tax
BsGW employees regularly check door-to-door for possession of dogs. This happens every year. The inspectors call at residents' homes to check on dog ownership. When the inspector rings your doorbell, he can identify himself. Ask for proof of identity!
Is your dog registered?
The number of dogs at an address determines the amount of the assessment. You pay tax starting with the second dog. The dog tax rate is determined by the municipality.
Fine
Does the inspector find a dog that has not been registered? Then the inspector will still register it. A fine may also be imposed. We advise dog owners who have not yet registered their dog(s) to do so as soon as possible. This way you will avoid a fine.
Report via My BsGW
You can easily report or deregister a dog via My BsGW. You can also report a change in the number of dogs here.
