HuB. Kerkrade Library nominated as Best Library of the Netherlands

Kerkrade's HuB. library has been nominated as Best Library of the Netherlands 2021. The nominated libraries will be judged on issues such as building & furnishings, services & products, service & customer focus, as well as the library's social and cultural operations and cooperation with individual and institutional partners.

Today, on Sept. 17, Alderman Schlangen (culture) stopped by the HuB. to celebrate the nomination and drop by a bouquet of flowers. Alderman Schlangen: "The library is more than a place to read. It is a place where people can meet each other, upskill in all kinds of areas and be creative. That the HuB. library Kerkrade has been nominated as Best Library of the Netherlands is a great thing for our city!"

Vote

From Oct. 1 to 22, it is possible to cast a vote at www.bibliotheekblad.nl . In addition to a professional jury, the public will also have a vote in the results. The final Best Library in the Netherlands is the one rated highest by both the professional jury and the public. The library voted best will receive the NBD Biblion / Bibliotheekblad Award. The award ceremony is on November 2.
