In 2022 contribution energy costs for low-income residents

The Ministry of Social Affairs has announced that the government wants to start helping to pay energy bills in 2022. For this, low-income residents will then receive a contribution of about 200 euros.

People who also receive Social assistance benefit benefits will automatically receive this amount from municipalities. Other low-income residents such as AOW without a supplementary pension, as well as self-employed people with low incomes, can then also apply to the municipality.

At the moment, the Ministry is working on this further and the municipalities are also helping with this. We will inform you when this is ready. Then it will also be clear how you should apply and what information we need from you in order to help you.
