In memoriam Marcel Mourmans

Last night Marcel Mourmans passed away at the age of 85. With him we lose a warm and committed man who had great significance for the development of GaiaZOO and thus also for the municipality of Kerkrade. Mr. Mourmans was a shareholder of GaiaZOO from the beginning and always had great faith in the development of our South Limburg zoo. For him, the development of GaiaZOO was paramount. We made an agreement together that all profits would be invested in the zoo. We are very grateful to him for that. GaiaZOO is a wonderful zoo that we are very proud of. As a municipality, we will do our utmost to ensure that his legacy continues to grow and prosper. We wish his wife, children and other surviving relatives much strength in bearing this loss.
