Submit application in principle for housing, business or other plans

If you want to build or renovate, you can have the municipality assess whether this is possible and allowed: we call this an 'application in principle'.

This is not yet an official permit application. It is a preliminary process in which you will hear whether your plan can be carried out. The municipality will then test your plan or idea, indicate the possibilities or impossibilities or what adjustments are necessary.

To test properly, the municipality needs information from you. For this purpose, there is an intake form that you can fill out. It is also important to include drawings of the existing and desired situation.

Applications in principle are processed in order of receipt. The average response time is about 8 weeks.

A filing fee of €214 must be paid per application in principle. 

A distinction is made between 3 different forms namely for a residential building plan, establishing a business or other construction work.
