Information WMC
From July 7 to July 31, 2022, the quadrennial event WMC 2022 will take place in Kerkrade. As usual, the event will take place at various locations in our town. This may cause inconvenience to local residents. We list for you the locations, planning, accessibility of the municipality, end times and noise levels.
Locations
The WMC will take place at the following location:
1. Church Square;
2. Markt;
3. Niersprink Street, Main Street and Hinger Herjods Ruk;
4. Theater Square;
5. Europe Square;
6. City Park: WMC Village;
7. Parkstad Limburg Stadium: marching, marching parade and show competitions;
8. Parkstad Limburg Stadium P1: WMC House;
Planning
Construction of the event at the above locations will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022. The opening parade of the WMC will be on Thursday, July 7 from 17:00 to 19:00. From Thursday, July 7 through Sunday, July 31, 2022, the usual public event will take place at the Markt .
From Saturday, July 23 to Sunday, July 24, 2022, and Friday, July 29 to Sunday, July 31, 2022, there will be games at the Parkstad Limburg Stadium. The dismantling of the above venues will be completed no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2022.
End times and sound
For WMC 2022, as for other editions, a special policy framework has been established. This framework establishes the end times and sound levels for each venue. You can find this overview as a document at the bottom of this news release.
