Kerkrade bigwigs receive youth ribbon 'Jód Jedoa!

On the afternoon of Friday, October 15, nine Kerkrade's finest received the youth honor "Jód Jedoa!" from Alderman Jo Schlangen (Youth Policy). The municipality of Kerkrade puts the spotlight on residents between the ages of 6 and 18 who have volunteered their time to help others, an association or the municipality.

"Once again, I am proud of these Kerkrade Kanjers! Their efforts have an important social significance for our town. They doubly deserve the Youth Medal 'Jód Jedoa'!" let Alderman Jo Schlangen (Youth Policy) know.

The ceremony was scheduled for April 2020 and has been postponed three times because of COVID-19. Friday was the day. At various locations in Kerkrade, the canjers received their decorations. In 2019, a call was put out by the municipality for young people to be nominated. Last year, nine young people were selected by the selection committee to receive the Kerkrade Youth Ribbon "Jód Jedoa!".
