Kerkradersteenweg and Hammolenweg closed from May 13 to June 5
Are you coming to the center of Kerkrade between Monday, May 13 and Wednesday, June 5?
Then pay attention: the Kerkradersteenweg and Hammolenweg will be completely closed to traffic during that period.
Update May 29, 2024: Due to continued inclement weather, the application of the asphalt coating has been postponed. Therefore, the Kerkradersteenweg and Hammolenweg will remain closed longer.
These roads are expected to be accessible again June 5.
You can reach the center via a detour. This is indicated on road signs. Please note that this detour will take you 10 to 30 minutes longer to reach the center.
We are replacing the asphalt and traffic lights
During the period between May 13 and June 4, we are working on major maintenance of both roads. For example, we are replacing the asphalt and manhole covers. There will also be new traffic lights at the intersection Kerkradersteenweg-Hammolenweg.
We expect everything to be finished by June 5, but the schedule may shift if, for example, bad weather prevents work.
