Filing a complaint
What is it?
If you feel that you have not been treated properly by an official or director, you can file a complaint with the municipality. For example, the way you were treated by an official or the way your questions were answered.
What to do?
Filing a complaint orally
During office hours (Monday through Thursday 8:30-17:00 a.m. and Friday from 8:30-12:00 a.m.) you can verbally communicate your complaint/report to Customer Contact Center (KCC) via the general telephone number 14 045. Your complaint will then be handled verbally.
Filing a complaint in writing
You can also submit your complaint in writing to the municipality. Clearly describe what the complaint is about and why you are making the complaint. The municipality may ask you to visit them to discuss your complaint.

After that, you will be notified by the municipality.

The National Ombudsman does not handle complaints about the municipality of Kerkrade.
How long does it take?
The municipality will handle your complaint within 6 weeks.
If you have forwarded the complaint to the complaint room, they will notify you of the progress of the complaint.
