KOELmagazine: the new magazine of, for and by Kerkrade!
This week marks the launch of KOELmagazine, Kerkrade's very first municipal magazine! Between March 22 and 24, it will be distributed door-to-door and fall on the doormat of all residents of the municipality.
The name KOELmagazine is a reference to Kerkrade's rich mining past. In Limburg, cool means a mine, so the title is a nod to the town's history.
KOELmagazine gives a glimpse of everything that is going on in the town. In this first edition you can read about the "Samen Kerkrade Maken" campaign, in which residents and the municipality work together to make the town even more beautiful. We also talk about the neighborhood prevention team, which works to ensure a safe residential environment. We also focus on the new house style of the municipality of Kerkrade, which focuses on the connection with the past and the future.
KOELmagazine is also full of inspiring stories and special initiatives from Kerkrade. In the section 'The Kerkrade of' you can read an interview with the gentlemen of Kirchroa Tropical. We also look ahead to the impressive theater spectacle The Luck of Limburg, which can be seen in the Rodahal from July. You will also find practical information about free help with money matters in the GeldWijzerWinkel and an overview of all upcoming events in the events calendar.
A survey in 2023 showed that many residents would like to receive municipal information in paper form. It was therefore decided to start a pilot with a door-to-door distributed municipal magazine.
