Royal decoration for Mr. Ritterbeeks

On Saturday, June 12, Mr. J.G. (Jo) Ritterbeeks (62 years old) received a Royal Decoration from Mrs. Petra Dassen-Housen, Mayor of Kerkrade, for his years of voluntary service to two different Kerkrade sports associations. More than twenty years of dedication to soccer club KVC Oranje and no less than 42 years to angling club (HSV) Ons Genoegen.

He was appointed Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau.

The presentation took place privately on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of HSV Ons Genoegen. 

Mr. Ritterbeeks has been a volunteer at HSV Ons Genoegen for 42 years. In 1978, he began as a board member. He then served as youth committee supervisor from 1985 to 1992. Since 1992, he has filled the role of treasurer. Currently, he is also responsible for water and fishing beach management.
Mr. Ritterbeeks is known within HSV Ons Genoegen as someone who shows great dedication and commitment in his work. Fellow board members can always call on his helpfulness or advice.

Mr. Ritterbeeks has also been a volunteer at KVC Oranje since 2000. As a former player, he has always remained connected to the association in this way.
From 2000 to 2019, he was part of the tournament committee. He also held the role of board member of youth affairs from 2005 to 2012. In 2012, Mr. Ritterbeeks became soccer technical coordinator. He still holds this position with the association.
He has a big heart for youth and does everything he can to get and keep youth playing soccer. Also within KVC Oranje, Mr. Ritterbeeks is known for his involvement and dedication.
