Royal decoration for Mr. Robroek

On November 23, Mr. G. M. J. (Wim) Robroek (77) received a Royal Decoration from Mrs. Petra Dassen-Housen, Mayor of Kerkrade, for his many years of dedication as a volunteer at St. Lambert's Parish and as coordinator of 't Seniorenbledsje. He was appointed Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau.

Since 1998, Mr. Robroek can be found weekly at the church and rectory. He takes care of various chores here. He is also caretaker of parish hall "Moscow" on Church Square. All work he performs with angelic patience and a great degree of gentleness and availability.

Coordinator 't Senior Bledsje
Mr. Robroek has been a volunteer with 't Senior Bledsje since 2000. He participates in the meetings of the magazine's editorial board and manages the distribution of the magazine. He is always friendly and patient when questions arise. He regularly takes part in the distribution himself. Mr. Robroek's dedication, quiet and pleasant way of working together has ensured that there are many satisfied readers and deliverers.

Board member Residents' Platform Kerkrade East
Mr Robroek is busy every day picking up and discussing issues in Kerkrade East. He does this in addition to the meetings and consultations of the residents' platform and the district platform with various parties. He is a valuable link between citizens and the municipality.

Mr. Robroek served as a collector for the Kerkrade collection team for five years.
