Electric car charging station/charging point

The number of electric cars in the Netherlands is rising rapidly. And that is positive because driving electric is significantly more sustainable than driving on gasoline or diesel.

So by driving electric, you are contributing to a cleaner and quieter environment. The municipality wants to encourage electric driving!

A concession has been granted to the combination Vattenfall (formerly Nuon)/Heijmans to install new charging points in North Brabant and Limburg. Residents and businesses have the opportunity to apply for the placement of a charging station.

All charging points are powered by 100% wind energy from one of Vattenfall's wind farms in the Netherlands. So by driving electric, you contribute to a cleaner and quieter environment.

The main Requirements that applications must meet are:

  • The applicant uses or will use an electric car;
  • The applicant does not have access to a private lot on which to park and install a private charging facility;
  • Within a walking distance of up to 300 meters, there is no other charging station where the applicant can charge;
  • The charging station and associated parking spot will remain public and can be used by anyone for charging an electric car.

The charging stations will be installed by the combination Vattenfall/Heijmans after approval of the application. E-drivers can charge their electric car with a charging card after installation.
There are several providers of charging cards, you can choose what best suits your situation.
