Let us know what you think of the Transition Vision Heat 2.0

One of the agreements in the 2019 Climate Agreement is that the Dutch government wants to reduce the use of natural gas. How we want to do that is stated in the Transition Vision on Heat.

The Heat Transition Vision is a document in which the municipality describes what we are going to do in the coming years to achieve energy-efficient and natural gas-free living by 2050. It also describes how we will do this together with residents and other partners.
Making our municipality energy-efficient and natural gas-free goes in steps. That is why a new Heat Transition Vision will be published every five years.

Let us know what you think of the Transition Vision Heat 2.0

Currently, the municipality of Kerkrade is working on the Heat Transition Vision 2.0. The first version is now finished. This version is not yet final. We first want to know what our residents think of it.
That's why you can go and see the Transition Vision Heat 2.0 at the Town Office. There is also a copy in the HuB. You can also download the document on our website kerkrade.nl/aardgasvrij-wonen.
On this page you will also find more general information about natural gas-free living.
You may disagree with some things. Or you have other ideas. You can let us know until September 13. You can do this by letter (Gemeente Kerkrade, postbus 600, 6460 AP Kerkrade), by e-mail (duurzaam@kerkrade.nl) or by calling us (team Duurzaamheid at number 14-045).

The municipality is organizing two information meetings together with Impuls:

On Friday, Aug. 25, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at 't Westhoes
On Wednesday, Aug. 30, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Shevemethoes (time changed)
Update 25-08-23 EXTRA MEETING: Thursday evening, September 7, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the HuB.

You can just walk in, no sign-up is necessary.

During these informational meetings, we will tell you what is in the Heat Transition Vision. You can ask us questions about what this means for you and your home. You can also let us know what you think of the Transition Vision and if you have any comments or ideas.
