Life tree forest Carisborg is full of memories and stories after planting day

On Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, 80 Kerkrade life trees were added to the Carisborg Life Tree Forest during planting day. The apple and cherry trees in the forest were adopted by and for Kerkrade residents.
The former main field of Hockey Association Carisborg has become a place full of living memories. Thus, trees were planted in honor of births, marriages, as well as in memory of loved ones.
Adopters of the trees were again allowed to plant their own trees. And those who wanted, were allowed to hang a label with a personal message on the tree. Hot coffee and soup was available for after planting.
Alderman Alexander Geers (Public Space): "The planting day was once again well attended. This shows that it is a very important moment for the adopters. This is because each adopted tree symbolizes a personal story or memory. For joy, or just for sadness. Either way, all the trees were adopted and planted with a lot of love and attention. And that is what makes the Life Tree Forest an incredibly valuable place."
