Fellow sufferers meeting Slachtofferhulp Nederland

After a major event, it can be nice to find support from people who have been through the same thing as you. How do others feel? What are they struggling with? Contact with peers allows you to share your experiences and ask questions of others.

Research shows that victims of cybercrime experience enormous emotional and psychological damage in addition to financial damage. For this reason, Slachtofferhulp Nederland organizes so-called Lotgenotenbijeenkomsten. These are live meetings where victims can seek support from each other, but also receive professional help from Slachtofferhulp Nederland. There are various fellow-sufferer groups for people who have had to deal with online crime.

The first meeting will take place Feb. 24, 2025, at the Limburg office in Beek, in cooperation with volunteers from SeniorWeb Eijsden-Margraten.
