Throwing away less? Also take up the challenge during the Week Without Waste!

This week is the Week Without Waste Also in Kerkrade, we are all going to take up the challenge to take care of as little waste as possible.

From May 22 to 28, it is the Week Without Waste. During this week, together with Rd4 and Milieu Centraal, we will show you how you can take care of less waste yourself. This can be done, for example, by buying second-hand items more often, printing smarter, giving clothing a second life, choosing reusable packaging or repairing broken items instead of throwing them away.

Alderman René van Drunen (Environment and Waste): "We can only ensure less waste if we all deal with this much more consciously. Did you know, for example, that many items of clothing are thrown away after an average of 14 wearings? That should be different!"

Make the switch!

Check out the website maakdeswitch.nl from Milieu Centraal. Here you will find lots of tips and information about living with as little waste as possible. The website is still being supplemented.

Milieu Centraal also sends a special newsletter every day during the Week Without Waste with tips and background information. You can sign up via maakdeswitch.nl
