Ministry provides locations for rapid testing in border regions

Starting Thursday, May 6, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations is offering residents of border municipalities the opportunity to get tested.

An appointment can be made through the website grenstesten.nl. Testing is free of charge. For the Parkstad Limburg region, there is a location in Heerlen. Border testers who want to use the testing facility must be able to prove that they live in the Netherlands and their employer, company, school, university, caregiver or family member to whom informal care is provided is located in Germany. The number of locations will be expanded. A test location at the EBC was also recently opened for residents of Kerkrade and other municipalities. Registration for this is via the website of testing in Aachen

The opening hours of the test sites through the Ministry are 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
