Monument Month 2022, will you come?
Next Tuesday, September 6, marks the start of Monument Month 2022. Many fun activities are planned during this month. This year's theme is "Sustainable lasts the longest. This theme will be reflected in the activities.
Activities in the first week
Three lectures will be held during the first week. The first lecture concerns the sustainable renovation and repurposing of the monument Klooster Pannesheide. There will also be a lecture on Monumental Kerkrade by Olaf Op den Kamp. Finally, there will be a lecture on the sustainability task for the Rolduc Abbey complex.
In addition, two open days are scheduled in the first week. Experience the mining past during the open day at Schacht Nulland or visit the open day at Abdij Rolduc. Children have also been thought of on the open days. At Schacht Nulland there is a miniature steam train that is fired with coal. And at Rolduc Abbey a treasure hunt has been organized.
Do you prefer something more active? Then go on an excursion with the Limburg Landscape on Sunday and see the historic villa Nieuw Ehrenstein inside.
