New Year's Reception 2023
This year the Municipality of Kerkrade is putting New Year's Day in a different light. At 1 p.m., the traditional reception will first take place at the Town Hall. From 2:45 p.m., the college of B&W will be present outside at Brasserie Nieuw-Ehrenstein or the Botanical Garden. Three places to meet and extend best wishes.
"We like to meet our residents at City Hall and at two other cozy places in our city. It's a tough time, all the more reason to meet and share warmth and hope with each other for the new year" indicates Mayor Petra Dassen-Housen. In addition, these beautiful locations invite to start the year healthy with a nice walk. After all, health and vitality is a spearhead for our municipality."
Gathering at three spots
Residents are cordially invited to enjoy a drink and an oliebol at one of these three locations. Hot chocolate, coffee, tea, water and mulled wine will be served at the outdoor locations.
Beautiful hiking routes
The municipality of Kerkrade and the two outdoor locations also offer many opportunities for hiking. For example, on the Beleef Kerkrade website https://www.beleefkerkrade.nl/categories/wandelen-fietsen/ - you will find many different walks you can take in Kerkrade's natural areas. In addition, Brasserie Nieuw-Ehrenstein offers a route for a nice walk through the Anstel Valley via a QR code. Finally, in the Botanical Garden, there is the opportunity to walk through the garden.
The College of B&W will be present at the three locations at the following times:
- Town Hall, Markt 1: from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Brasserie Nieuw-Ehrenstein, Nieuw-Erensteinerweg 5 AND Botanical Garden, Sint Hubertuslaan 74; 2:45-4:15 p.m.
