Kerkrade is working on the environment vision, a future vision of the municipality that provides a look ahead to 2040. The municipality considers it important to do this together with residents, entrepreneurs and organizations. A study into the effects on the environment is currently being carried out as part of the MER procedure for the environmental vision. You can also contribute to the design of this study.
Part of the plan for the environmental vision is the preparation of an environmental impact report. This report examines all kinds of effects on the environment in our municipality and looks beyond environmental effects. In this way we discover what consequences certain choices have for the residential and living environment and for the environment. This helps to determine which choices we should make for the future.
A Scope and Detail Memorandum is the first step. It explains what will be studied in the environmental impact assessment.
