You can arrange many things at the municipality yourself online. For this you need DigiD.
Business owners, notaries, lawyers and healthcare institutions can also apply digitally on behalf of their clients. This requires eHerkenning.
For some applications, you still need to make an appointment at the counter in the City Office after arranging them digitally. For example, for placing a signature, issuing a passport photo and having fingerprints taken on a travel document.

Thanks to eIDAS (Electronic Identities and Trust Services), you can log in using the authentication method of the country where you live. Currently, this is available for the following services: BRP extract, BRP copy, BRP notification of departure abroad.
