Elderly people aged 70 and over without an Omnibuzz pass will also travel for free with Omnibuzz to the location where they will be vaccinated against corona. This was decided this afternoon by the 30 participating municipalities in the Omnibuzz Joint Scheme. The free transport applies to the first and second vaccination (if applicable).

For Omnibuzz customers, transportation to the vaccination site is free anyway. 

How does it work?

When you receive the call for the COVID-19 vaccination, this call will tell you when you can make an appointment. When you call the GGD to make the appointment, you will also be asked how you will travel to the vaccination location. If you are traveling to the vaccination location with Omnibuzz, you should mention this. They will then take this into account when scheduling. 

After scheduling an appointment with the GGD, you can book your ride with Omnibuzz. Please make a reservation for this purpose. This can be done up to one day before the vaccination appointment.

If you are not a customer of Omnibuzz, you should book your ride by phone. This can be done through the call center: telephone number 0900 - 0699.
The call center is available seven days a week from 07.00 to 22.00.

Omnibuzz customers can make reservations in the following ways:

Your ride with Omnibuzz

The driver will pick you up from your home. If necessary, he or she can help you get in and out of the car and put on your seat belt. You will then drive to the vaccination location.
Another person in the neighborhood may need to be at the location around the same time, in which case rides will be combined.  

The driver will continue to wait for you at the location while you get the shot. Thus, you will return with the same driver.

Guidelines

Omnibuzz urges you to follow the guidelines and advice of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and the Municipal Health Service (GGD). If you have symptoms of coronavirus, please stay home and do not travel.

If you travel with Omnibuzz, the rules below also apply:

  • You will wear a surgical mouthpiece or medical mouthpiece.
  • The driver performs a health check upon boarding.
  • The driver will point out where to sit.
