Training confidential contact person sports providers reimbursed from Sportakkoord Kerkrade

A safe environment should be a given everywhere, including in the world of sports. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Therefore, prevention and promoting a safe sports environment and culture are very important. Within sports associations, a confidential contact person is often appointed. The confidential contact person has an important role in monitoring and encouraging a safe sports culture.

First point of contact for undesirable behavior
When persons in sport are confronted with undesirable behavior, such as (sexual) harassment or bullying, the confidential contact person within the association is the first point of contact. This person offers a listening ear and is familiar with the route the reporter can take.
