Call to mayors: do not seek limits on measures

Safety Region South Limburg and the 16 municipalities receive many questions from residents and business owners about what the new corona measures mean in specific situations. In some cases, the interpretation is still unclear, so we cannot provide immediate answers.

Information from the rijksoverheid is constantly being added to. Naturally, we are making every effort to provide clarity as soon as possible. Annemarie Penn: "In the meantime I urge everyone, on behalf of all sixteen mayors of South Limburg, not to seek the edges of the measures or to take an exceptional position. The measures are strict and are also interpreted strictly by us. There is a reason for this. The coronavirus is spreading at lightning speed, including in our region. So let's work together to get the coronavirus back under control. By really keeping our contacts to a minimum, we reduce the virus and keep the Health accessible. As unpleasant as that is for all of us."
