Requesting personal data
What is it?
The municipality maintains personal data on all residents in the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP). The municipality needs this information when you get married, for example, or when your passport expires. If necessary, the municipality can also share your data with other government institutions, such as the tax authorities, the judicial authorities or the police. Or with organizations such as pension funds and housing corporations.
See which organizations can obtain your personal data on the Rijksoverheid website.
