Paper container St. Bernadette Street Moat disappears June 14
Starting June 14, the large paper container (blue shipping container) on St. Bernadette Street will disappear into the Moat. The container was under the supervision of the Parents' Association of De Spoorzoeker Elementary School. The Parents' Association requested that the container be removed. This was because there were many complaints from the neighborhood about scrap paper being put next to the container.
Waste paper proceeds were used for school trips. The Parents' Association will look for other options to absorb the loss of this revenue.
We ask you not to bring scrap paper to this spot after June 13. The container is permanently closed and will be collected by Rd4 on June 14. There will be no new container in return.
Did you make use of this container?
Then you can take your scrap paper and cardboard away to the underground paper containers and the large paper container at KVC Oranje on the Voorterstraat. The nearest underground paper container is on the corner of Lourdesstraat with Calbertsweg. In addition, waste paper and cardboard is collected door-to-door throughout Kerkrade every 4 weeks.
