Plans where participation is mandatory
Kerkrade City Council has adopted a list of activities that determines in which cases participation in the environmental permit is mandatory.
Plans where participation is mandatory:
- If the activities do not fit within the goals of the environmental plan referred to in Article 2.4 jo 4.1 Ow.
- If the activities do not fit within the goals of the environmental vision referred to in Article 3.1 Ow.
- If the activities do not fit within the goals of the program referred to in Article 3.4 Rev.
- Environment permits, listed in Article 10.24 of the Environment Decree.
- Energy transition. Generation of (renewable) energy:
- Wind turbines
- Solar panel fields (ground-mounted): larger than 50m2( There is an exception for this on business parks).
- Housing: Building 50 or more homes within urban areas, or 1 or more homes in rural areas.
- Traffic. Construction of new infrastructure and related buildings, structures and works, such as noise barriers.
- Public (utility) facilities with an area larger than 25m2 and higher than 3 meters, these are mainly transformer stations.
- The construction and establishment of social uses, such as schools, care centers and community centers.
- Solitary structures taller than 8 meters with a major impact on the environment, such as advertising masts.
- Major area developments and/or restructuring projects, such as Rolduckerveld and D'r Pool.
